The trip was towards the end of April, towards the end of the ski season 22/23 but the resort was packed with snow and people. We were only there for 2 nights, searching for the best locations for the ski holidays we want to organise this winter, and I was certainly left wanting to return. Cervinia, and the connected world famous Swiss resort Zermatt, have been engraved as favourites from past family holidays so of coarse we returned to source a holiday for you guys in one of our top locations!

The trip was very spontaneous; booked in bed before I fell asleep, packed early in the morning an left my house at 10AM for an early afternoon flight. The trip was with Dob and our friend Audrius.

We arrived in the early evening, dumped our stuff and went for a stroll around the gorgeous town. We had tasked ourselves with getting in touch with every hotel provider in the resort to find truly the most suitable place for you guys to reside. As we collected phone numbers, email addresses and brochures, we took in the breath-taking view of the staggering, snowy mountains, strolled along the main alley where the slopes come to an end and the nightlife begins, listened to lively music from bars and the calm flow of the Cervinia river, and were in awe of the cozy atmosphere created by the lights which spanned across every building, making the town sparkle. As the day's work came to an end, we sat down at one of the many local restaurants to enjoy an authentic Italian cuisine.

Next day, we woke up early to get the first lift up and enjoy the fresh, crisp snow.

It was about a five - ten minute walk from where we were staying along one of Cervinia's streets, a stop to rent some gear for the day, another stop for ski passes and insurance, and finally we were ready to go! It can be time consuming and difficult to know the right places to get equipped which is why we go in advance, do the research and make sure we provide you with a stress free holiday.

A day packed with snowboarding around and enjoying stunning views was obviously a super fun day! We spent all day out really making the most of being there. The trip was for all of you (of coarse) but we couldn't help ourselves... There's really so much to explore and enjoy with speedy lifts, long slopes, fresh snow (which seems to fall every time we've visited this resort), and apres-skis round every corner which offer local beers and wines, hot chocolates, homemade tiramisus, crispy chips and more! - Including energetic people to have some fun with.

After some more hotel hunting, towards the end of the day, we'd arranged to meet with an old friend and ski instructor, Paulo, for a catch up and for some advice and general knowledge on the area. After a long chat he sent us off to the 'best' pizza place 'Sotto Zero' - don't say we don't treat you with the insider info ;). The choice on the menu here was absolutely overwhelming so I went with the first pizza that caught my eye - it had cherry tomatoes, aubergines and some fancy cheese, and it was SO delicious! I also liked that the place was packed with Italians; it felt as though we were really immersing ourselves in the culture.

Next day was our last but a memorable one. It was Cervinia's famous annual 'Snowball Brauil-Cervinia' Music festival which took place in the town centre at the bottom of the slope runs on the snowy plaza where it was really sunny. It kicked off with a race down the slopes but not just any race.. one where the participants had to ride down in swim costumes! This was an absolutely crazy sight and vibrant, hectic atmosphere. Once they'd made it down, they treated themselves to a drink from the bar and ran over to the stage for some singing and dancing.

We couldn't stay for long as it was time for us to tour some last hotels and make our way home but I've never felt so annoyed having to leave a place. Can't wait to return with you lot so look out on our website for updates on this amazing location!
