Adventure Sports Tours is collaborating with OceanSoul, a Danish yoga and kitesurfing travel brand founded by Emely Freja Petersen, to offer you an unforgettable kitesurfing and yoga camp in Akyaka, Turkey. Join Emely from OceanSoul on a unique adventure to the windy paradise of Akyaka, where kitesurfing, yoga, nature and local charm come together. This is an authentic escape far from mass tourism, surrounded by beautiful scenery and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced kitesurfer, you are welcome to join. The team will be with you on the beach throughout the day, offering coaching, support and guidance to help you progress on the water. As always, all activities are optional. Each morning begins with yoga by the beautiful freshwater river — a peaceful way to prepare the body and mind for an active day on the water. During the week, you will also enjoy excursions to some of the area’s hidden gems, including a sunset viewpoint overlooking the bay, a local market, a boat trip and more. Akyaka is famous for its steady thermal wind, which usually starts late in the morning and continues until sunset, typically blowing between 7 and 10 m/s. Because it is thermal wind, it does not always appear in the forecasts — but Akyaka is known for delivering reliable wind.

Emely Freja Petersen
Emely Freja will be your tour guide, yoga instructor and kite coach on the trip. Originally from Denmark, Emely has lived in Akyaka, where the camp takes place, since 2019.
Since 2010, Emely has been living her dream around the world, training and teaching both kitesurfing and yoga. She is a two-time Danish and two-time Turkish kitesurfing champion, with titles from 2019, 2020 and 2021. She has completed several kitesurfing instructor trainings and loves sharing her passion for the sport with her students.
Emely lives and breathes the yoga lifestyle. In 2015, she trained as a yoga teacher and has since achieved the 500RYT title through Yoga Alliance. She has shared her knowledge with yoga students all over the world.
Emely has extensive national and international teaching experience in kitesurfing, yoga and stand-up paddling. She has visited almost 50 countries and kited in nearly 30 of them.
In addition, Emely has an AP Graduate degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management, as well as a BA in Sports Management.

Welcome to Elif Hotel — our beautiful home base during the retreat in Akyaka.
